DRT MiNDZ – Madison, WI @DRT_Minded
The Madison, WI based rookie hip hop group DRT MiNDZ recently released their debut mix tape "F.T.W." The mix tape contains 12 tracks and has features from Yahtzee, Jahni Haze and Treva La Viva. All the beats, engineering and production were done by FreeQuenC in his studio "Blue Dream". The lyrics of the tape are pretty much split down the middle between FreeQuenC and Sillabul. The mixtape starts out with the raucous, “The Kill”, FreeQuenC begins the track by dedicating it "to all the hypocritical critics" informing them that he and Sillabul don't belong classified under typical rap stereotypes. Next up is "Liberation" a track that speaks on many levels about the role of media in society and the general gun control issue that's been raging recently. On "Shots" the guys live up to their F.T.W. attitude; downing shots and flipping birds to the cops at a massive house party. "Mary Jane" is the oldest track on the mix tape, but the intoxicatingly catchy hook, reefer oriented lyrics and smooth, jazzy melody make it a crowd favorite. Next up FreeQuenC showcases his lyrical and rhythmic abilities on "Isolation", a track dealing with loneliness, paranoia and separation from society. Sillabul takes the lead on "Rebel Music" a rebellious track which pays homage to Kanye West's "Addiction" with the hook's cadence. This brings us to “Ms. Keato”, a conceptual record that tells the tale of a wild night out at the bar and that “ratchet chick” moment most of us have encountered before. This is the most light hearted and humorous track on the mix tape by far. "Apathetic Rhapsody" is psychedelic instrumental interlude by FreeQuenC using samples from Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" in ways no other producer has ever quite done it. Another shining stand out track, "What I Need", addresses the many needs, wants, desires of FreeQ and Sillabul. Quirkly Introspective lyrics, innovative sampling and unique break down make this track a must listen. The undeniable anthem for stoners, reefers, potheads, and weed lovers "High Enough" gets people moving with an extremely catchy beat and a hook featuring a Marvin Gaye sample encouraging the listener to smoke until they're high enough and then some. Bringing the tempo back down is "Solid Gold" a mellow track in which FreeQuenC addresses his love of music and the reasons he makes it. The hook, written by Sillabul, is the most elaborately orchestrated of the mix tape. Bringing the tape to a close is "Angel". A personal favorite of both FreeQ and Sillabul the track is an ode to a long lost love. Sillabul's deeply metaphoric and intense verses compliment the lullaby-esque simplicity of the hook, but FreeQuenC's guitar solo is what separates this track from the rest and gives us a glimpse of what might be in store for us in the future. Overall "F.T.W." is a fantastically entertaining mix tape. It keeps the listener engaged with the perfect mixture of humor, introspection, love, hate and of course, drugs. DRT MiNDZ is unafraid to bend genres and think outside of the box, offering a refreshing dose of authenticity. These guys are just getting started and I can't wait to hear what they come out with next. |

@IntroducingALUV – Houston TX
The music world is at a crossroads. In the face of shrinking budgets, the death of artist development, and music executives with no idea of what constitutes a hit record searching out the next YouTube sensation with a catchy hook and dance move in order to amass digital single sales it is time for a change and that change can be found in Houston, Texas native A LUV. While many artists have tried to break through despite an industry melt down, few have been met with critical praise and the applause for those that have has not been loud enough to sway the course of the current market. In an era saturated with upstart MCs all vying for the coveted status of “NEXT BIG THING”, the story of A LUV is a refreshing exception to the quick route for fame and success. One of the first artists signed to music executive Anthony Williams' W2W Entertainment imprint, A LUV is poised to become notable and excel where his contemporaries have failed. A LUV began writing and performing at the age of 12 years old and began developing his craft and learning the basics of artistry that would soon translate into what many industry insiders refer to as the IT FACTOR. Raised in Houston, Texas A LUV‘s hometown would provide much of the sights and experiences that would come to shape his sound. As a young teen committed to following his dreams A LUV spent most of his free time creating sounds and songs that would lay the foundation for what his style has evolved to today. Taking from his favorite artists a love for powerful storytelling with an intense inner-strength, A LUV advanced from just singing and performing to writing his own music at a very young age, soon amassing stacks of notebooks filled with song ideas, rhymes and observations. If his sudden christening by industry insiders and music fans alike as THE ONE TO WATCH shocked the haters, their doubts were quickly refuted when A LUV dropped his recent single "WATCH ME" an R & B summer anthem that has R & B and HIP HOP lovers singing his praises. 'WATCH ME" is not only A LUV's debut single but it also speaks to who he is as an artist and a person. A LUV recently completed production on his debut full length CD project scheduled for a midsummer release properly titled "LOVE JONES" a fresh mash up of R & B and Hip Hop that is sure to captivate music lovers worldwide and establish him as a prime candidate for BEST NEW ARTIST during the 2013 awards season. With early comparisons to some of the hottest artists to grace the music industry over the past decade and the distinct honor of being hailed as a blend of Chris Brown meets T Pain with a slight pinch of Trey Songz thrown in, it is a safe assumption that A LUV is poised to wake up a dormant industry and cement his name in this game and change the tide of the current music industry, swaying it in a more insightful, meaningful and passionate direction.” |

Bigg Fats – Houston TX
Bigg Fatts grew up on the south side of Houston, Texas where courage and toughness are necessities of life and are tested daily. As a young man he knew he had to have a high level of aggressiveness if he wanted to be successful or even survive so he evolved into a fast-paced, charismatic street kid who could make you hand over your last dollar and laugh while doing it. This is the man he had to be. This is what his music is. This is Fatts.“I got into music at a young age (middle school). From the jump I knew I was clever and had a unique ability to get people to like what I was saying. I was inspired by local Houston artist like Lil Keke, Fat Pat and Hawk. I wanted to be the “freestyle king”. Once I got to high school I started listening to other artist such as Jay Z, Outkast, Biggie smalls, Big L, T.I., and Lil Wayne.”
After the untimely death of one of his best friends Corey Mitchell (Big Corey), Fatts decided to get serious with rap and started to write his rhymes instead of just free styling. The result was a hardcore street mixtape named “Mash Mode”. “Due to my underworld ties the cd took popularity early but at the time I was living the lifestyle of a rapper instead of actually being one. I was distracted by drinking, smoking and selling dope. I was focused on the quick money more than the dream.” The mixtape turned into a classic tape but without the marketing and promoting behind it “Mash Mode” faded into a hood success.
The first mixtape did enough to generate a demand for Fatts blazing tracks and the hood began asking him for a round two. They needed more music, more wise cracks, more Fatts. As a man who wanted to appease his fans he put out a rushed project entitled “Food for Thought”. “To be honest Food for Thought was a street disappointment because I made it for the wrong reasons. It was made in me trying to please other people and not focusing on the music.” “Food for Thought” sold 250 copies.
After releasing a mixtape that Fatts viewed as a disappointment he left rap alone and concentrated on living a regular life in the hood. He setup a trap house and started doing his thing in the streets. It wasn’t until his best friend Big Bari went to jail on a drug case that Fatts realized he had a special gift and he owed it to himself and the world to use it. His passion for rap was further renewed when he met two young producers, Abstrakk and Another Excuse. “They made music that I loved and that brought out the best in me. It was easy for me to lock the doors, cut off the phone and forty tracks later I had the “Fast Food for Thought” mixtape.”
When asked what does he live for Bigg Fatts made it very clear. “Since day one I’ve had people telling me what I can’t do, shouldn’t do, and what I would and wouldn’t amount to. I live to prove those people wrong. I also live so that my nephew will never have to hear people telling him what he can’t do. I don’t want him to experience the hardships of living in poverty without adequate education or without a road map on how to get out of his own “hell”.
Fatts newest project Fast Food is hitting the streets the summer of 2012. The public better be prepared for this aggressive but funny man on a mission to feed the streets with his new music. |

M.I.C. – Madison, WI @M3CMIC
I'm Michael Medall AKA M.I.C. born in Madison, Wisconsin. I've been in love with music for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a very musical family it wasn't a challenge to get heavily involved with multiple instruments. I've been playing the piano for a solid 8 years; as well as guitar, for another 8-9 years. I've also had a handful of years of experience with digital music production. Modern Era Music is a gateway into a new realm of Hip-Hop music. Modern Era is a push towards a new generation of Hip-Hop. My efforts as an artist have been to expand the boundaries of the genre as we know it today. Of course mixing something together that applies to a wide variety of listeners. This isn't just about rap or hip-hop; this is music. I love to represent where I'm from and what brought me to music, and hopefully inspire future artists to follow their dreams and passions on their musical journey. This is my love, my dream, and my life. I've had the honor of performing and recording overseas for the last 7 months with MF Studios and TFX Productions. Now, with my return back home I know my travels have only began. Performing in both the United States and Europe has provided a very unique sound. This has derived from the influences I've been accustomed to when traveling from home (Madison, Wisonsin) to other countries/regions. |

C.M.C. (Chicago Music Commission)
Born and raised in Chicago’s “Maywood”, IL, C.M.C., Jo Fetti and M Dot are a duo of friends who have been kickin’ it together since high school.
Their appreciation for the art of music developed through their time at Proviso Eash High School, and on the streets of Chicago. With their individual commitment and enthusiasm for “winning” later being instrumental to the group’s dynamic fusion.
When they officially came together as G.T.R. (Grynd Time Reporters) in Chicago circa 2005, Joseph – “Jo Fetti”– Miles, and Marcus – “M Dot” – Carter, had one objective – to make music. No gimmicks, no hidden agendas and with limited resources.
They cite their influences as God, each other, Chicago, prayerful mothers, scornful fathers, the loss of loved ones and typical day to day inner city observations. Their sound is triumphant, textured inspiration built from layers ranging from upbeat to thought provoking.
There’s no slowing down either, with their arsenal of conscious complexity ready to blow, C.M.C.’s determination and creativity is showcased through their newest venture – “More Than A Mixtape”. Quality, customised tracks available for other artists looking to see how music is done. This project is already being hailed as an underground classic that fits well with the duo’s other releases; Hood Music Vol’s 1-2.
C.M.C. has had the privilege of blessings the stage with some hip hop heavy weights, the likes of Grand Hustle’s Yung L.A., DJ Unk, and GMG’s Mello Da Guddaman. As well as collaborative mixtape efforts with Gorilla Zoe and Travis Porter.
Fuelled by the hunger that so many lack, this collective holds no limits and follow nobody but each other. Self-made, self-built, whichever way you put it they’ve produced their own foundations, meaning they’re here to stay. That’s some self-ish.

RIP – Chicago, IL / Madison, WI
In 2000, Illinois born Producer/Recording Artist 'Rip' created his Independent Record Label, RiP Records, while still in high school. A decade later, in June 2010, he released his debut solo album "Fashionably Late". The album carried the lead radio single “Watchin Me,” which garnered some radio airplay nationwide. All Access Media Group’s (A industry radio trade site) Pete Jones says “This is a catchy record. It sounds like Top-40 radio” about the single. It was featured on the site as “Hot New Music” in both the Top-40 and Rhythmic platform. Since the release of "Fashionably Late", Rip has been releasing music videos and has been doing shows regionally to promote his album - most notably at his hometown radio station's B96 Sumemrbash in Chicago two years in a row to the Taste of Madison and World Famous Brat Fest in Madison, WI. J.R. Bricks – Atlanta, GA
J.R. Bricks, the Atlanta-based MC who The Source has called 'cutting edge,' is no stranger to triumphing over adversity. Nearly a year after his highly publicized legal battle with the 'Waffle House' restaurant chain, J.R. Bricks has returned with a vengence, releasing his mixtape 'For all my underdogs' on July 14th. His 16 track show-and-prove display of talent, which includes his infamous 'Waffle House' song, stays true to its title. Bricks moves from hard-hitting lyrical excercises to radio friendly club tracks with infectious hooks seamlessly, displaying his lyrical prowess, paying tribute to his hometown in the track 'Florida song,' and inspiring listeners with songs like 'Go the distance.' At the end of the mixtape, it is clear that though he is an up-and-comer, his fluency as an artist is enough to send him from the current 'underdog' label into the category of new hip-hop industry success stories. |

D. Rose – Milwaukee, WI
Damone Rose aka Dae Dae was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 11.2.1987. He started singing by the age of 4 yrs old. Music is somewhat hereditary stemming from his great grand parents, which is where it all began according to him, “it’s in my blood”. He states the only thing that separates him from his family is that, “I will not stop until I’m successful”. Beyond his family, he was influenced by several great contemporary recording artists such as the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, Boys 2 Men, Brian McKnight as well as Maxwell, just to name a few. He believes he has a lot to offer musically,” I think I can bring purity to the music industry. What that means is that, I’ve written and produced my own music. There isn’t many who can say that at my age.” In addition to being a songwriter and producer he also has other achievements. He plays several instruments including the piano, organ, drums and bass guitar.
There is at least one issue with the industry that Damone would like to express. It’s a dislike of watered down music and artists lacking a true passion for the Art. But on the same note, putting things in perspective, he says “I really wouldn’t want to change anything about the industry because everyone has their own unique way of doing things; they have their own style and that’s what makes the industry versatile and so exciting”.
Damone has worked with many local artists and producers. He is very hard working when it comes tohis music. He is passionate and takes what he does seriously. In his own words,” Music is my life, my air, my first love.”

Midevil aka Ms Midi – Rockford, IL @msmidi2u @iambigjuice
MIDEVIL aka MS. MIDI
Was born on May 31,1985 in Chicago, Ill. She is the oldest of 8 children (having 3 brothers and 4 sisters). Raised on the West side of Chicago until age 9, she and her siblings were relocated due to their mother ongoing battle with a drug addiction. She reconnected with her siblings after her Aunt (mother’s Sister) later adopted them all.
As a youth and young adult she lived in many places from Chicago, Harvey, Hazel Crest and Matteson, Ill. to Grand Rapids, Mich. She also attended multiple schools from Emerson and Whittier Elementary to South Shore High and Rich South High.
Ms. Midi accredits her mother (who was a model and singer) and aunt for her and her siblings talent and love of music, remembering as a kid her mother encouraging her to sing and entering her into talent shows. “As a young teen we used to travel back and forth a lot to Grand Rapids, Mich. because that’s where the family was. When my aunt played “dusties”, my brother and I used to freestyle in the back seat over the songs.” Fortunately for the young Midevil one her siblings father was a singer and musician who let them record in his studio. She was influenced by such great names as Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Tina Turner, Queen Latifa, MC Lyte, Tupac and Missy Elliot just to name a few.
Ms. Midi just recently signed with the Midwest powerhouse label BPE/Bungalo Records/Universal and has hit the studio running. Producing several singles such as, “Sample Dat” ft TBerry and Big Poke, “I Want You” and the club hit “Is it Good To You” in rotation on radio and in the streets

1TWO Punch – Zone Ez & Young Tek
1TWO PUNCH
1Two Punch is the magical duo of Zone EZ and L-Knox who have also created Zoned-Out
Entertainment. Between the two, there are over 25 years of musical experience; from rapping,
beat boxing, writing, working shows and other collaborations. At times they work with their
cousins Holla Point and Big Jack Johnson (aka The Oil Man) giving audiences a power house of a
punch.
Zoned-Out Entertainment is proud to announce the release of multiple singles which is off of
this CD titled “ 1two Punch ”. It was released in February 2012.
Meanwhile, these hot singles such as “Girl Twerk That” featuring Yung Tek, “Watch Me Do It”
and “Player Days” give audiences a taste of what’s to come. These songs are great for the
dance floor.
“Girl Twerk That” is a fun, catchy tune with inventive electronic applications. “Watch Me Do It”
is another electronic wonder, with sharp staccato notes that gets you moving. “Player Days”
begins with a more dramatic tone but always with that “1 Two Punch” introduction. This song
is smooth, with great vocals with a more serious tone; they work it, just like the other songs.
These three songs are teasers as to what’s yet to arrive. Their music keeps you focused on their
music.
Although 1 Two Punch is known for their Hip Hop songs, they have a versatile side to them.
They are not your typical artists. They have depth, character and vision. They move with the
flow of the music scene and have the ability to stay current, relatable and successful. They
keep their fans happy and in love with their music as 1 Two Punch music revolves around their
fans. This is a perfect relationship.
1 Two Punch did Who’s Got Next Tour with Lenny S of Def Jam. They have also opened for
Mims in Iowa which was a great experience for them and also Lil Wyte of 36 mafia, and Bone Thugs & Harmony
Things to note: Coast2Coast mixtapes magazine has a few articles that fans would be
interested in. And a mixtape It’s hosted by Memphis Bleek.
“Rest in Peace to Uncle Jack Oilman Johnson. Mississippi blues legend songs in black snake
moan and rip marco love. We see you Yung Tek and Ms. Sophia of Zoned-Out Entertainment.

RoGizz – Chicago To Miami –> @rogizz
Innovative, Exciting, Conceptual, Lyrical, Humorous, Motivational!! These are a few of the words that can be used to describe RoGizz, the artist and musician. After turning his love for poetry into hip hop music, RoGizz signed a record deal with Dreamworks. After moving to Los Angeles and witnessing many of the label's resources being diverted to other areas, he decided to gain a release and put out his own music independently through his self promoted company Gizz Entertainment. His first project was called Worldwide Domination Volume I. It was a compilation disk featuring other Chicago independent artists where he utilized his skill at connecting people and providing strength in numbers.
Through a mutual friend, GIZZ also met his rap partner Pask-1. They formed a group called "Worldfame" and released a mixtape called "Cut the Games: Chi to L.A." to much critical acclaim. After that, RoGizz moved back to Chicago and went on to collaborate more with some of the most accomplished producers in the game: S.C., Streety Wonder, Paperboy, Tony Baines, Matt Hennessy, 110% Pure, Boogz, Sherm, Austin "Smooth" Nelson and Ekim Pahkwah. Currently, RoGizz resides in Miami and has released two more volumes of his Worldwide Domination series where he collaborated with artists from all over the country. The recordings famously took place over a Memorial Day weekend in Downtown Miami with all day and night studio sessions. These albums were titled Worldwide Domination II: The L.U.A.U and Worldwide Domination III: The Union.
At one point, RoGizz sought to diversify his entertainment portfolio by stepping back from his own music to do management deals for other artists, mentor up and coming artists, establish a clothing line and pursue different philanthropic opportunities. His love for creating timeless music though has brought him back to the mic with his new project titled "RoGizz vs. Black Blago." In his own words, Rogizz stated: "This is one of my best works to date. I think it's very layered because of the elements it involves. I think people can definitely relate to the battle one may have between the good and evil inside us. It can be sparked by what we experience in our daily lives. Politics have a lot to do with the creation of our daily lives. Thats what I wanted to convey with this work." Poet, Artist, Producer, Mentor, Entrepreneur, Social and Political Activist, Rogizz all these... |

872 Gang is a Rap group from Madison, Wisconsin with the goals of being major artist and showing the world there talent. 872 Gang consist of two members Young Kaleem and Jae F. Freeman. 872 Gang started off as TSB soon later they thought of a more catchier name 872 Gang is code for TSB if you look on your phone on the 8 it’s a T on the 7 its an S on the 2 it’s a B. TSB started off recording with raquizey 3 years ago at his studio. Our first time recording was crazy because it sounded like we had been doing it for some time. Our first song was called Trend setta music our second song we did was called every hustle that was the starting point for us. Soon after that we started working on a mixtape called No pad no pen produced and mixed by us. Starting off we didn’t really have much we worked a commission job for the equipment we got. After that point we began recording songs back to back and putting them out on myspace. We recorded a song a rap group named young duces and performed it at the June Teenth that same day we performed at a local party. About a year later we turned 16 and performed at the majestic that was our biggest show we have ever done. After that we continued to put out more music to build a bigger buzz. (Yk) real talk I didn’t ever think I would be a rapper that was the last thing on my mind my pop got me into music soon I started wanting to do what he did because my dad is my biggest inspiration because he’s a hustler and he know how to work with nothing so that’s how I was brought up. Music is my life every morning I wake I listen to beats and just freestyle before I go to school or ma day not gone go right. Me and Jae not just a rap group we like brothers we started this together so we plan to make it together. (Jae) For me I’ve been rapping since I was like 8 so this is something I knew I always wanted to do. I started rapping by my self and at the time I didn’t know anybody who was as serious with their music as I was. Then I got up with YK after finding out he rapped after that we jus kind of took off and it went from there. I planned to get a lot of music done and just keep putting out mix tapes and hopefully some albums. We going to keep working hard and keep trying to be the best at what we do, you know it’s 872. http://www.facebook.com/pages/872-Gang/229972243714949 |

AJ The Dread – Nebraska @ajthedread
![]() AjThe Dread is just a guy who likes to put his thoughts on paper and let people know how he feels. I did not intend on doing any of this but my personal friends became fans and the fans grew. When I get off stage they yell and scream my name and always ask me “Aj what’s next” I do have my own business that I am working on (Rasta Free Entertainment). The motto of my business is “Good Music Sets Us ...See More
I remember the first time I dropped a freestyle, I was just riding with a few of my friends listening to some music. I was 15. This guy I knew, Worm, always use to rap to any song he felt the mood. This particular time, we were with these females and they asked “ Aj how come you don’t rap?” I said “ Shit I don’t know just never really wanted to”. Worm began to rap some more but this time he started directing some of his disses towards me. Every punch line he dropped, the girls were like “oooo shit, Aj he got you” The first few times I laughed. As he kept going, I got irritated and just started spitting. He stopped and the two chicks we were with just stared at me for a while because I kept going for like 5 min. When I was done, they were in shock and just was quiet for a sec then “ DAMN AJ that shit was cold.” At the time I didn’t really think much of it. I just wanted to get him off my back. Before then I use to write poetry and read poetry books growing up. After my rap epiphany, so to speak, I began writing more and more poems, soon after raps. By the time I was 16, I was making beats and having freestyle sessions in my mother’s living room when she worked over nights.I enjoy seeing people move and have a good time. I wouldn’t call it “Swagg” because honestly I really do not like that word, but my approach is more than just a one styled closed rapper. I consider myself to be an “outside the box performer” The songs that I write, I picture how the crowd will react to, not only what I am saying but the way I say it and how my presence is on stage. I love to interact with people and make them enjoy themselves even if they don’t want to. Mixing the elements of delivering pristine hip hot lyrics while injecting a “move your body” twist on it is the way to go. I love the feedback
I get from the people.

Dria E was born on May 25, 1993 in Memphis, TN. She first started pursuing a career in music at the age of 16. She currently has over 22,000 ringtone downloads and over 42,000 Youtube video views. In April 2011, she released her third independent mixtape, Ms. Air Force One, and signed to the independent label, Red Ink Entertainment, shortly after. The first single, "Invincible", is in rotation on some internet radio stations and the music video has been featured on a few hip hop blogs and is featured on the mixtape DVD, "This Month In Hip Hop". Her second single, "Bank of America", has also received radio play and has been featured on the Hip Hop Chronicles Vol.1 mixtape, hosted by DJ Lil T and The Underground Fix Mixtape Vol. 68. Her latest single, “How I Live It” has been placed on mixtapes such as The Underground Fix Mixtape Vol. 72, Certified Indie Heat Vol. 1, and Brash Off City Pt.1: Welcome to Brash Off City.
Mentality is an 18 year old artist from Illinois who preaches a different type of struggle. While he began writing songs when he was in 4th grade, he didn't start to get serious until July of 2011. "Ever since I was 10 years old I knew I wanted to rap for a living". His style can be described as a deep poetic type who many people can relate to. He is far from the average MC and prides himself in that. Mentality isn't about the wealth, fame, or prosperity... he just wants his music to be heard by the world. "I know the music that I create means a lot to me and I just want other people to benefit from what I'm saying in my songs." He loves to tell stories within his lyrics and you can feel how much emotion he puts into each song. It is safe to say that he is a true dream chaser and will not let anything or anyone get in his way from achieving what he wants in life.

This is Fatts.

Young and hungry – these two words describe Jimmy P. perfectly. Coming out of lower Delaware, the rap game isn’t as strong as its Baltimore and Philadelphia influences, but Jimmy’s looking to change that. With his signature heavy-hitting lyrical style, he has ability that would dazzle the most seasoned of artists.
Jimmy P. has an album on iTunes called “Vital Signs” which was released in October of 2009. “Vital Signs” was a project that was marketed towards Jimmy’s online market, running a campaign with his 50,000+ MySpace fans. Since then, he has taken the time to enhance his skills in the studio whenever possible. This two-year long hiatus proved extremely valuable and on November 29th, 2011 Jimmy P. released a leak called “The Foreplay Leak”, currently on Datpiff.com, which has been generating a major street buzz. Even though the leak only contains five songs, it’s enough to leave fans eager for more. Luckily, Jimmy P. won’t let them down – on April 8th, 2012 Jimmy will release a full-fledged mixtape appropriately titled, “Long Time Coming” that’s expected to garner 10,000 downloads the first week – numbers don’t lie.

The Prolegend Movement hailing from the corners of the Jacksonville Florida's Northwest Quadrant. A group of two soulful and versatile producers and two gifted real life documentaries. More than music it's a movement. More than a group, it’s a force of nature like the four winds. Mass Pro, Laf Legend, Lankdizzim, and J.Co, the four corners to a house. Inspired by the greats of Soul, Hip-hop, Blues and Jazz. As long time childhood friends they came together to form their colorful collective vision in 2005. A dope sweet potato pie mix tempered by the hustle of the gritty Duval streets. With a fire in their hearts, they set out to make their mark in music by performing shows, releasing mixtape CD’s, and producing music for other local artists. This group is truly a triple threat. From writing, to producing, to game spitting, they have it all. Cut through a funk and soul infused urban conscience complete with spicy drums and gumbo like vibes, they draw a line from the ring shout to what's relevant today in music. With hot tracks that redefine what hip-hop can be in raw form, they also redefine themselves within the medium. Taking a love for film, art, fashion and movies through the decades, they have cultivated a life style of progressive knowledgeable Soul and combined it with a funked out vibe! Banging beats, cutting lyrics... The logic is undeniable. We invite to learn more about us. A Movement never stops and if you like good music welcome aboard. The latest release “Black Diamonds EP” on iTunes explores the struggle to make something out of nothing. “Black Diamondz” the mixtape is available on Datpiff .com for a free Download. From freestyles in the lunchroom as a Freshman in High School, to making plans to "Take Over The World" now at age 26, Chicago Hip-Hop artist Sycosis or SY for short, is one step to the left of the line for "ordinary rappers." Combining "Conscious Rap" elements with aggressive delivery, hard hitting punchlines, and solid production, Sycosis has a style that varies but a message that stays consistent. "My main goal is just to challenge myself to make something that I would want to listen to if I didn't know who it was, I try to challenge other artist to improve their creativity." With two official Mixtapes in the "Think Twice" series Sycosis set to establish himself as a legitimate professional with the 2010 release of the "Mostly Me" album. His new project entitled "Tri-Polar" aims to take that goal to the next level with the release of 2 videos for tracks "Best You Never Heard Of" and "Check 1,2". "This album you will see all different sides to me as an artist, aggressive, insightful, and easy going which is why I'm calling it Tri-Polar." Setting his own standards high, we can only anticipate what his limits will be if any in the years to come.

Make way for AJ the Savvy, Madison's newest heavy hitter. Also known as Anthony Boyd, born in Milwaukee, AJ has been writing music for 10 years and making beats for five years. Dr. Dre, Scarface, Lil Boosie, and JayZ have given him creative inspiration, but his real influence is from watching how fans react to the music they hear in the club. His musical concepts come from from seeing what the people like to move to. His bangin club beats will leave you no choice but to get up out of your seat and to cosign his title of "Savvy."
